The Venezuelan driver Pastor Maldonado entered the Formula 1, by signing with the Williams team for the 2010 season .Chavez has admitted that a few years ago when Maldonado joined the GP2 series, the prelude to the F1, required financing and gave it to him through PDVSA. "Sport must not stay out of politics, must be supported as it is still in Venezuela, "said Maldonado, the fourth Venezuelan to race in F1.
