Guyaneses rinden los ultimos honores a su presidente Cheddy Jagan, quien murio de un fallo cardiaco el 6 de Marzo 1997 en el hospital Walter Reed Army en Washigton. El primer Ministro Samuel Hinds fue juramentado como presidente interino el 8 Marzo 1997.Jagan sera cremado en su pueblo natal Port Mourand/Guyanans are mourning Guyanese President Cheddi Jagan, who died of heart failure March 6 at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington. Prime Minister Samuel Hinds was sworn in as the new president.Jaggan will be cremated March 11 at his birthplace Port Mourant, 90 miles east of Georgetown. 08/03/1997
